About

Tara Armstrong was born in Fresno, California. Her talents were recognized at an early age and fostered by her grandmother Peggy Pruneau (skilled artisan of Auberry, California) through the use of acrylic paints on ceramic figures and canvases alike.

Armstrong soon became interested in Japanese anime and manga art styles and set a goal of becoming a video game concept artist, or graphic novel illustrator.

She moved to Tennessee in the summer of 1998, where she received numerous awards for her artistic talents in the various schools she attended in the area.

In Fall of 2007 she enrolled in Middle Tennessee State University, majoring in Studio Art with a double minor in Illustration and Asian Studies (Japanese Linguistics).

Her artistic accomplishments range from having one of her hand-painted murals featured in a commercial for a local salon, to successfully designing and publishing a comic panel to be displayed on the childrens menu of a local restaurant.

Armstrong currently resides in Mount Juliet, Tennessee, where she works from home creating custom tattoo designs, surrealist style paintings, portraits, and custom hand-painted designs for musical instruments.
